Terms and Conditions

1. **Introduction**
   These Payment Terms and Conditions ("Payment Terms") govern the payment transactions between hosts ("Hosts") and guests ("Guests") on Direct website ("Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these terms.

2. **Fees and Payments**
   - **Booking Fees**: Guests are required to pay the total booking fee which includes the nightly rate set by the Host, cleaning fees, service fees, and any applicable local taxes. The detailed breakdown of all charges will be visible during the booking process and in the booking confirmation.
   - **Payment Schedule**: Full payment is required at the time of booking. Payment must be made through the secure payment system provided on the Platform.
   - **Security Deposits**: Hosts may require a security deposit for booking their property. This deposit will be specified in the property listing and will be held by the Platform until the end of the stay, subject to the absence of any damages as detailed in the Host’s listing.

 

3. **Cancellation and Refunds**
   - **Guest Cancellation Policy**: Guests can cancel their booking according to the cancellation policy chosen by the Host, which may be classified as Flexible, Moderate, or Strict. Details of these policies will be available on the property listing and during the booking process.
   - **Host Cancellations**: If a Host cancels a confirmed booking, the Guest will receive a full refund.
   - **Force Majeure**: In the event of a force majeure scenario affecting the Host or Guest, such as natural disasters, war, or severe weather conditions, special accommodations will be made, which may include full refunds.

 

4. **Disputes and Chargebacks**
   - **Dispute Resolution**: In case of any disputes concerning transactions, the Platform will facilitate an arbitration process to resolve the issues. Guests and Hosts are encouraged to communicate directly through the dispute resolution tools provided on the Platform.
   - **Chargebacks**: Any chargebacks initiated by a Guest with their credit card company will be subject to investigation. Guests are encouraged to contact customer service first to address any issues before contacting their bank or credit card company.

 

5. **Modifications to Payment Terms**
   - The Platform reserves the right to modify these Payment Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform. By continuing to use the Platform after changes are made, you agree to be bound by the revised Payment Terms.
